Entries have started coming in for the Jurassic Coast Award 2013 – Photography Competition with a wide range of subject and styles. We’d really like to see loads more entries with the chance for winning great cash prizes and shortlisted entries to be displayed at exhibitions next summer at the Fine Foundation Chesil Beach Centre, Durlston Castle and the Lulworth Cove Visitor Centre.
Lead judge Ben Osborne says “This coast is one of the most photographed landscapes in Britain and the judges have not only created dozens of images of this region themselves but have also seen a fair selection of other people’s images. So what we are looking for when judging this competition is something that is your own interpretation of the subject. There are three categories that give you plenty of scope to be creative and to make us sit up and take note of YOUR images (rather than anyone else’s). Any “same old, same old….” images (however beautiful) will probably just elicit a yawn from us. So go on, try something new. Give us something to think about. Good luck!”
So don’t forget to get your entries in and also pass the word around to families and friends or send them the link www.jurassiccoast.link/award
