There’s a big investment going into the Jurassic Coast right now and Swanage is going all out to make sure its visitors have a great Jurassic Coast experience.
The Hospitality Association in this pretty seaside town, one of the most popular gateways to the Jurassic Coast, is tapping into funding from the South West Regional Development Agency to help meet the expectations that come with being part of a World Heritage Site.
By signing up to the Jurassic Coast Quality Business Scheme the Swanage & Purbeck Hospitality Association are aiming to give the best all- round visitor experience within their own hotels and guest accommodation.
So far, as part of the Scheme, more than 25% of the association’s members have attended training to improve their Jurassic Coast knowledge and environmental practices.
To become a Jurassic Coast Quality Business also requires high standards in the day to day running of the business – and Swanage hoteliers are coming up trumps.
Visitors to Swanage should look for the ‘Jurassic Coast Quality Business’ window sticker or logo on websites to know they are booking into a place that supports the values of the Jurassic Coast.
A listing of those who have already become accredited as a Jurassic Coast Quality Business can be found here (link to listings page)
The Jurassic Coast Quality Business Scheme is being managed on behalf of the South West Regional Development Agency by Dorset New Forest Tourism Partnership.
