Sitting Spiritually of Lyme Regis have recently demonstrated their support of the Jurassic Coast, by joining the Jurassic Coast Trust a Business Partner. They join a group of over 65 businesses located between Exmouth and Swanage, all helping to look after the coastline through making an annual contribution to the Trust.
Since 2004 Sitting Spiritually have been making bespoke garden swing seats, pergolas, garden benches and rope swings, and are the only bespoke swing and bench maker licensed by the RHS. Owners Martin and Celia Young’s range of designs includes an ammonite-shaped drinks table to their range of designs, inset with a genuine ammonite fossil. This table is now available through the Jurassic Coast Trust’s online shop, with part proceeds going to the Trust to help them look after the coastline.
Martin said of the partnership: “Supporting organisations and people in our local community is of enormous importance to us, and we are proud to be based on the Jurassic Coast, so to team up with Jurassic Coast Trust seems a perfect collaboration.”
Guy Kerr from the Jurassic Coast Trust said: “We are delighted to have the support of Sitting Spiritually, whose ethos and meticulous handmade approach to creating their pieces reflects our own care in managing the coast. We look forward to working with them to protect the Jurassic Coast so that future generations can enjoy it as much as we do today”.
