The Rock Around the Coast walks series is five walks in and building momentum. The walkers and guides have all enjoyed themselves and we have been very lucky with the weather so far.
The last walk ran from Kimmeridge Bay to Lulworth Cove taking in Tyneham village and the Fossil Forest as well as a traverse across the Purbeck monocline and the entire 80 million years of the Cretaceous period. Quite a lot to pack into one days walking!
The next walk is on the 4th July and Lyn Cooch, a Dorset Countryside Ranger, takes up the batten for a circular walk around the coast of Portland. The series continues every Saturday through to the end of August.
And remember, members of the Jurassic Coast Trust go free!
