Jurassic Coast signage can now be seen at railway stations in East Devon as well as Dorset, promoting the station’s close proximity to and affiliation with the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site.
Signs direct visitors from the trains to adjacent bus services, which allow them to continue to travel to and around the Jurassic Coast using a sustainable means of transport. The bus routes link the ‘Gateway’ towns along the coast, which in turn offer great access points to the South West Coast Path National Trail for further exploration on foot.
Gateway town signs can also now be seen throughout East Devon, linking the coastal towns to the Jurassic Coast and highlighting the important role the towns play in providing a good base from which to explore and learn about the World Heritage Site further.
