Nominations for the new Jurassic Coast award must be made by 29th October – so hurry up and nominate someone who has made a special contribution to the Jurassic Coast!
We have developed this new award to give due praise and acknowledgement to those individuals who have contributed greatly to the continued conservation and enhancement of the Dorset and East Devon Coast World Heritage Site, whether professional, amateur or volunteer.
Two individuals will be selected from nominations for these awards – they may have made innovative contributions through education, science, conservation or the arts – either through research, community involvement or other activities.
This year, the two individually sculptured awards will be created by the artist and sculptor Gary Breeze, with sponsorship from the Fine Family Foundation.
To nominate someone for a Jurassic Coast Award, go to www.jurassiccoast.com/award print off, complete and return the form. Alternatively, you can request a nomination form by calling the Jurassic Coast Award administrator Martin Cooke on (01305) 848156 or by emailing [email protected]
Nomination forms should be submitted, together with any supporting information, to arrive no later than Friday 29 October 2010.
