- Robin Barker, Dorset Tourism Awards
Robin wears many hats including being on the Board of Tourism Management Institute, the Tourism Alliance and being a spokesperson for the South West Tourism Alliance – but of greatest relevance on the day will be his role as founder and organiser of the Dorset Tourism Awards.
These awards, launched 7 years ago, have seen year-on-year growth in participation by Dorset businesses, with the prime benefit being free feedback and benchmarking information and publicity, both locally and nationally. They have also helped drive up the quality of the Dorset offering and to raise the county’s profile as a top quality tourism destination. Robin will update the audience on recent developments as well as share plans for 2019.
