The Jurassic Coast Trust’s website, jurassiccoast.link, has recorded its largest ever volume of traffic in a single month, with more than 71,000 people accessing the site in August 2020.
Driven by a UK-wide increase in “stay-cations” due to Covid-19, as well as the Summer weather, people came to the site en masse to access the latest information on visiting the coast (including Covid-specific restrictions at certain coastal locations), activities, and places to stay. In total, the website recorded over 180,000 page views across the month.
The top pages viewed across the website in August were:

- Dog Friendly Beaches – 5,000

- Fossil Finder Database – 3,600

- Bus Services – 3,400
- Attractions – 3,300
- Downloadable Walks – 3,000

All the businesses listed on jurassiccoast.link are Business Partners of the Jurassic Coast Trust, contributing an annual donation of £250 or more to help the Trust look after our outstanding natural World Heritage Site. Business Partners include accommodation providers, visitor attractions, cafes and professional services companies.
The museums and visitor centres listed on jurassiccoast.link are Delivery Partners of the World Heritage Site, contributing tremendously towards people’s experience and understanding of the Jurassic Coast.
