This close-up shows some of the stomach contents of this ichthyosaur. Between the ribs are black, shiny curved hooklets from the tentacles of a squid (towards the right). These hooklets are often found among the stomach contents of ichthyosaurs, as well as fish scales, and the bones of other reptiles.
