Despite the difficulties of holidaying in 2020, thousands of holidaymakers at one of Dorset’s largest holiday park operators have defied the odds to raise over £6,000 for the Jurassic Coast Trust, helping to protect, conserve and educate people about the Jurassic Coast.
Since 2008, West Dorset Leisure Holidays have raised funds through an optional donation being added to customers’ bookings across their four holiday parks, which has now accumulated to almost £90,000. West Dorset Leisure Holidays are leaders in the field of charitable support along the Jurassic Coast, and their generosity has inspired over 70 other businesses large and small across the coast and beyond to join the Jurassic Coast Trust as Business Partners, contributing towards the ongoing protection of the World Heritage Site.
The donations come at a critical time for the Trust as it works to protect the Jurassic Coast, and to deal with the challenges brought about by COVID-19 and its impact on domestic tourism.
