Hop along
Here is a stunningly perfect and minute wing from a type of insect known as a leaf hopper. They belong to a family called theĀ Cicadellidae and they have hind legs that can propel themselves at speed to jump between plants and evade predators. They feed by sucking plant sap, using needle-like mouth parts that can puncture the outer membranes of plants. Size: 4.4mm.
