Which is which?
There are two common types of brachiopod found in Dorset and East Devon. Rhynchonellids have strongly ribbed shells, whereas Terebratulids tend to be smooth and bulbous in form. Compare the two photos to see which is which. There are other forms of brachiopod but they tend to be found in older rocks.
