Small businesses on the Jurassic Coast are being encouraged to sign up for the final series of Battle the Bills workshops. The bite-sized workshops, which are free of charge, have proved extremely popular with an average rating of 9/10 and described by participants as:

The final series focuses on two essential, but often baffling, topics: renewable energy and heat, and influencing guest and customer behaviour.

With energy bills rising, increasing numbers of tourism businesses have installed and are investigating renewables, but with the range of technologies and changing financial incentives it can prove daunting. The workshop will provide jargon-free advice to demystify the options and help businesses find the right option for them.
The workshop will also share examples and principles for successfully engaging customers, and any staff, to help, rather than hinder, efforts to save energy and water, as well as outlining water saving opportunities and South West Water’s Source for Business service.
The 90-minute workshop is open to all small businesses and are being held across South West Water’s region. The water company is sponsoring the sessions with support from South West Tourism Alliance and Devon & Cornwall Business Council.
