Tickets are available for Thomas Hardye School’s Café Sci Fossil Festival special, 3rd May 2012 at Thomas Hardye School – ‘The Origin of our species’ with Chris Stringer.
The Thomas Hardye School’s forthcoming Café Sci on Thursday 3rd May 6 – 7.30pm with Professor Chris Stringer FRS from the Natural History Museum promises to be an extra special occasion.
Doors open at 5.30pm and visitors will be able to enjoy a preview of selected stalls from the Natural History Museum that will be on display at the Lyme Regis Fossil Festival over the weekend of 5th – 6th May. Chris Stringer will then give a 30-40 minute talk on ‘The Origin of Our Species’ at 6pm followed by a full discussion. The exciting addition to this café sci is the skype link to a Ugandan school (techonology permitting!).
Thomas Hardye expects a high level of interest for this Café Sci event and therefore will be ticketed for the first time. I have 30 tickets to give away to our Jurassic Coast friends and if you would like to attend please email me on [email protected] (max 2 tickets per person) and I will leave your tickets at the reception desk at County Hall in Dorchester for you to collect. These tickets will be issued on a first come first served basis.
