The Maritime Greenwich World Heritage Site is proud to host the third UNESCO Youth Summit on the 27th, 28th and 29th June 2012.
If you are aged between 13-17 on 27th June 2012 and you can form a group of up to 5 like-minded young people, you could win the chance to represent your school and the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site at this 2012 UNESCO UK World Heritage Youth Summit conference in London.
Summer 2012 will be an unprecedented moment in the history of the Maritime Greenwich World Heritage Site as they host the equestrian events as part of the Olympics. It is also a special and exciting time for the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site as we host the Olympic and Paralympic Sailing events. This will be an incredible opportunity to welcome people from across the world and to celebrate the unique beauty and importance of our World Heritage Site.
How do I enter the competition to win a place?
You will be aged between 13 – 17 by 27th June 2012 and you will need to form a group of up to 5 like-minded young people. To win the chance to participate you will need to create a digital scrapbook of material about the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site based on the topic of World Heritage and Identity answering the question ‘Who are we and what does our World Heritage Site mean to us?’
This digital scrapbook could take the format of:
- A powerpoint/Prezi presentation
- A website/blog
- A social networking presence
- A Flickr page
And could contain material such as:
- Photographs
- Blog entries
- Creative Writing
- Podcasts
- Films
- Music
