The foreword is written by Professor Denys Brunsden, world-renowned geomorphologist, who masterminded the successful World Heritage nomination bid in 2001.
The Jurassic Coast has long been a magnet for geologists and photographers, drawn by its constantly changing environment. The book’s aerial photographs give a fresh perspective on what may be familiar from ground level, revealing detail only evident from the air. The content appeals on several levels; to those who appreciate fine photography and those that are interested in the geology and history of the area. This book is a visual delight to visitors and residents across a broad spectrum of ages.
Take a fascinating aerial journey along this beautiful coast from Exmouth to Old Harry Rocks. Clearly see the changing geology from Budleigh Salterton Pebble Beds through the cliffs and landslides between Lyme Regis and Burton Bradstock and on to the dramatic cliffs and headlands of Kimmeridge and Durlston.
