Able, Gifted and Talented Geography pupils from selected schools across the Jurassic Coast have chosen a stretch of coastline to undertake a year long research project, investigating four main questions:
- Why is the coast special to me?
- How is the coast currently being managed?
- What are the challenges that communities face with coastal change?
- What opportunities and benefits will arise as a result of coastal change?
They will be presenting their findings back to the other schools involved in the programme, statutory agencies, councillors and Defra.
This will be a unique opportunity to hear from young people across Dorset and East Devon about why their coast is special and find out how they think it should be looked after for the future.
